To the E-Heroes of the Revolution.
Twitter protesters, WhatsApp warriors, Facebook and Instagram evangelists - this is for you.
Today's day 8 of the one of a kind protest that Nigeria and the whole world has ever seen, and the intensity hasn't dwindled a bit. If anything, it has increased.
#ENDSARS, the protest of a lifetime has experienced a wave of synergy that has no equal and it's a proof of the impossibility that's possible in our dear country NIGERIA.
Voices have been raised, people fed at protest grounds, kinship formed, arrested protesters released, the struggle pictures' and videos’ documented, compatriots praised for their resilience, and the Nigerian spirit is kindled.
The youths have risen and we, the generation whom Nigeria hasn't done anything for, are so proud to be a witness to what we can achieve together.
Many things have been said about all we've seen, but not enough has been documented about those behind closed doors- the online protesters, we see you.
To the ones who ensured hashtags always trend,
To the unseen ones behind seamless organization at protest ground,
To the ones anonymously donating and doing their bit to make sure "Moses's" hands never get tired,
To the ones who ignored the mental strain that accompanied sharing gory details of the atrocities perpetrated by our government,
To the ones who ensured details of the amazing menu chefs fed protesters on site was known to all,
To the ones who pray behind closed doors,
To the ones documenting the revolution,
To the ones changing narratives pushed by the old media to sabotage the movement,
To the ones never relenting in the conviction that the change we seek will happen,
To the ones still staying true to the cause,
To the ones who have no picture to show you were part of the revolution, frame this one.
This is proof that your work isn't going on unnoticed.
We see you.
The world sees you.
We couldn’t have done this without you.
Thank you.
And to the one who wrote this, we praise you. You have SORO SOKE-D.
