The "panellists", "loud yet silent". Who are they??
Who are the panellists? The men of God are now quiet? Hoolala!
I have seen that some set of individuals were at a “panel” set up by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to discuss the current #ENDSARS issue. If the Special Anti-Robbery Squad has been dissolved then what is the need for a panel to be set up? Some other individuals are also having closed zoom meetings and whatnot. Why?
I was surprised when I saw Korede Bello in the panel, D’banj and CDQ. These men were not present at any protest nor did they coordinate any. Korede was pushing for the reformation of the police force and not the disbandment and yet he was present at a panel?
Actually, who selected the representative at the National Human Rights Commission? Because these men are not representing the people, honestly. From the look of things, they are doing what they feel will interest us which is absolutely wrong.
I don’t think D’banj should be sitting in that panel too, he hasn’t cleared himself of the assault. Sega also looks to be compromised as his activism has reduced months ago and CDQ? I don’t even understand what he’s doing.
If the NHRC really wanted to dialogue with the presidential committee, then aren’t they supposed to call on legal entities, activists too? How are celebrities the one speaking at a panel? This is not Grammy’s selection board, this is a fucking protest.
But actually, we have a branch of the Human Rights Commission and nothing has been done since? Ah. Well, I keep forgetting that we’re in a kakistocracy and over government is more like vibes, a bad one.
These people who are setting up panels and writing threads with endless vocabularies are actually downplaying on the work that the real activists are doing! Sighs
Some are using the protest as an avenue to push political agendas and we shall not tolerate that! The likes of Sowore who is using everything he has to put himself as the hero is sickening. Pushing for a ‘revolution’ by hijacking protests, putting misleading headlines on his blog which is home to thousands of people? Even went as far as creating a twitter handle mimicking the hashtag #EndSarsLegal. Now, that’s a desperate opportunist.

We must never forget that the international community paid deaf ears to the cries of the Nigerian citizens, the ICC whose president is a Nigerian paid deaf ear too.
We must never forget that the vice president is a Professor, Pastor, and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria yet kept quiet whilst the rights of the citizens are trampled upon.
We must never forget the religious leaders whose voices could be heard in the 7th heavens when the religious houses were closed but are so mute that the breathe of a human can be heard, keep it up men of God.
We also must not forget that the Nigerians ( the women especially, THE WOMEN! ) who are running helter-skelter to save innocent citizens must be protected and the government should be ready to answer to the people as they’re already receiving threats. Once the protest is over, I’ll be sure to write a concise post celebrating these women!
Lastly, we must keep being united as our unity has brought us this far! Let’s keep the peaceful protest going and demand what is ours!
