It takes less than a stroll round the clock before a pastor calls out any creature that attacks the finances of the church, or their mentors, Hmmmmmm. Takes only a single tweet against their ways/teachings for them to let loose their army defensive Bible verses.
Not to forget how they get their retweets jumping in Hundreds per minute (Those are the days they needed us, days we stood for them). It happens to be sad news that the church is now competing with the government on who gets to win the silence of the year.
Searching for answers why the Church is not joining us in this revival, probably because we didn’t start from the Church? Because it is not about Fund Raising? Because they have no close causalities yet? Or probably because the highest bidder in funds raising are the ones they’ll have to speak against. Have they chosen to secure their purse over the lives of the youth?
Even though we have no answers to those questions, we will still have to ask “What is the church up to?” “Is the church busy?” “Busy with what?” The church is treading the illegal path, there’s no fence in this issue, It’s either you’re for us or you’re for them.
Beyond the silence, they have decided to arrest youths that protest in the church built with our money & our parents’. They are not ashamed to threatened MEMBER with the same SARS we are staying away from. We deserve their support, we own their support, they owe us their support, but it is painful to witness the older generation have exchanged our birthright with Government pottage.
Nevertheless, this generation has decided to rewrite the story with the ink of our sweats. NO, we are not staying down to re-read the story, instead, we will rewrite it, NOW!
Section 15 of Proverb 17 states “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both repulsive to the Lord” and this condemns your silence on all sides.
To see criminals of this particular Section 15 on the altar could the greatest evil we will be witnessing in our church.
Lastly, right from the days we have known enough to say “Amen” to prayers, have we married our knees to the prayer point: “God, we need a change in Nigeria”. Now, the change is here and you have decided not to join because you’re so used to closing your eyes in prayer and can’t open your eyes to see the answers to your prayers. Prayers may be offered eyes closed, but answers are received with open eyes.
MAY THE EYES OF OUR UNDERSTANDING BE ENLIGHTENED!!! We respect you, we still respect you, but not with this stunt you’re pulling.
