Nigerian youth have pressed forward in the stand against the injustices done by the Nigerian police in a peaceful protest for five days now. Not relenting, not backing down, refusing to be intimidated, and pushing harder every time they push us.
The government has tried to come at us from different angles and it seems that the new tactic is cutting off the funds. Omo.
Together, the Nigerian youth have donated tens of millions of naira to fund the protest.
The central bank of Nigeria has summoned flutterwave, the platform through which all the donations for the protests are being made.
The Nigerian government, who, it is important to note, only just a few months back, asked citizens to donate to the COVID-19 relief fund, have now suddenly stated that crowdfunding is illegal. This is how they make up laws at their own convenience to suit their agenda.
Honestly, we have had a lifetime of them trying to make things harder every time we make a way for ourselves. This is one of such times. We will not keep quiet this time.
The incompetence and misplaced priorities of the present government continues to show itself daily in every little thing that they do.
